Regal Ragdoll Kittens is in Bowral, in the Southern Highlands of NSW. For families in Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra that is an easy drive. Everyone else gets their kitten flown with a licensed pet transporter to the nearest capital-city airport. Choose your city for drive or flight times, local cat rules and the questions families there ask most.
About 1 hr 30 from the CBD down the Hume, less from Campbelltown and the Macarthur region. Most Sydney families collect in person.
About 2 hours up the Hume and Federal highways. Read up on the ACT's cat containment rules before you buy.
About an hour over the escarpment, the closest city to us. Illawarra and South Coast families usually collect.
About 3 hr 30 to 4 hr each way, a long but doable day trip for Newcastle and the Hunter.
About 1 hr 30 from Sydney into Melbourne Airport. Check your council's cat curfew before your kitten arrives.
About 1 hr 30 into Brisbane Airport, also the collection point for the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
About 2 hr into Adelaide Airport. South Australia has its own desexing and registration rules for cats.
About 5 hr into Perth Airport, our longest regular flight, so timing matters most here.
About 2 hr into Hobart Airport. Tasmania has a cat management law of its own.
Flights go to Darwin and the other capitals. Regional families collect at their nearest capital. Ask me what is practical for you.
Flight costs, timing and an arrival day checklist are on our Ragdoll kitten delivery page.
Pattern is about where the white goes, and it makes no difference to temperament. A colourpoint has no white at all: a pale body with darker ears, mask, legs and tail. A mitted Ragdoll has white front paws like mittens, white back legs to the hock, and a white chin and chest, often with a blaze down the nose. A bicolour has the most white, with an inverted V on the face, white legs and a white belly. Every pattern is the same $1,500.
Seal points are dark brown, and blue points are a cool grey. Chocolate is a warmer, milkier brown and lilac a pale pinkish grey. Chocolate and lilac are less common in Australian Ragdoll lines, but every colour is the same price. All Ragdolls are born nearly white, and the colour keeps deepening until they are two or three, so the kitten in the photos will look richer as an adult. Every colour is compared side by side in our Ragdoll colours guide.
Both make excellent pets once desexed. In my experience the boys tend to be the bigger, softer, more clingy cats, and the girls are a little more independent and particular about who they sit on. If you already have a cat, I usually suggest the opposite sex to your current one, and our Ragdoll breed guide goes into adult sizes in more detail.
Ragdolls hate being alone. If the house is empty from 8 until 6 most weekdays, I would rather you take two kittens than one. Littermates settle together quickly and keep each other company. If that is not possible, a calm adult cat at home works almost as well.
By our vet at ten to eleven weeks, healed before go-home.
Chipped and transferred to you on the NSW Pet Registry.
Recorded in their vet book. The 16-week booster is due at your vet.
A full check in the week before they leave.
Pet papers on limited registration, plus copies of both parents' DNA results.
Six weeks of pet insurance, a bag of their usual food and a blanket that smells of home. What to feed after that is in our Ragdoll kitten feeding guide.
The cover after you take your kitten home is in our health guarantee.
When there is no Ragdoll cattery near you, it is tempting to purchase from whichever breeder is closest or cheapest. I would put distance last. A kitten flies for a couple of hours once in its life, but it lives with the results of its breeder's health testing and early handling for fifteen years.
Interstate buyers are also the people pet scammers target most. Before you pay anyone a deposit, check these:
The full process for buying from us, with deposit terms, is on how to buy a Ragdoll kitten.
We breed two or three litters a year, mostly in spring and late summer, so there are long stretches with no kittens available. The waitlist is how most of our kittens find homes. Joining is free, you are never obliged to take a kitten, and families on the list see each litter before it is posted here. How it works step by step is on the how to buy a Ragdoll kitten page.
A Ragdoll's temperament has a lot to do with the cats who raised it, so here is each litter with its mother and father. You can read more about each parent, and see their DNA results, on our queens and king page.
Clementine's litter: three calm, people-focused kittens like their mother. They are the oldest this season, fully vaccinated and desexed, and ready to go home now.
If you live in Sydney, Wollongong, the Southern Highlands or Canberra, Regal Ragdoll Kittens is within about two hours' drive, in Bowral NSW. Anywhere else in Australia, I fly kittens to your nearest capital-city airport with a licensed pet transporter. A breeder's health testing and how they raise kittens matter far more than which one is closest.
Yes. Your kitten flies to your nearest capital-city airport in an airline-approved carrier, usually for $350 to $550 charged at cost, and you collect them on the day. You then register your kitten under your own state's or council's rules, which each of our city pages explains.
Yes. Every pet kitten is desexed by our vet at ten to eleven weeks and has healed well before going home at twelve to thirteen weeks. NSW law requires cats to be desexed by four months or carry an annual permit, and early desexing means you never deal with a calling female or a spraying male.
No. I take reservations from six weeks old, not before. Until then I can't tell you honestly what a kitten is like, and markings can still surprise us. You can join the waitlist with no deposit, and families on it see each new litter before it goes on this page.
A reserved kitten has a family and a deposit against them. I keep reserved kittens on this page so you can see the whole litter and how their siblings are turning out. If a reservation falls through, the kitten is offered to the waitlist first.
Only to registered catteries, and only by arrangement. All the kittens on this page are sold as desexed pets on limited registration. If you breed under a recognised cat council, mention your prefix in your inquiry and I will talk you through what is possible from upcoming litters.
Send an inquiry and tell me which kitten caught your eye. I reply personally, usually within two days, and I am happy to send extra photos or a video first.
